Texas State Fair Rained Out

“The fair got rained out on the night we were supposed to perform so we played a few songs for an impromptu gathering of people in the catering tent while the rain kept pouring down. We were dying to play.  It was loads of fun even though we were disappointed about not being able to play for a big fair crowd.  I guess you might say we all made the best of it…….and we’re happy the rains came to Texas.  We’ll be back next year.” – John Coinman

We were hoping to get to hear some great music and get to see & hopefully meet my favorite actor! We were very disappointed, but very glad to have the rain!! I’ve been a fan of Kevin Costner since the early days!! My favorite movie of all time is “Field of Dreams”! I look forward to next year, seeing & hearing this adventure he is involved in!! Love what I’ve heard so far!!

Every cloud has a silver lining.
You made some people happy and that it’s the most important despite the rain.
Next time you’are going to make everybody happy and the show will be great as always.

My sisters and I were very glad to be soaked Saturday night. I didn’t think it was possible to be more impressed with you!! But we are! We’re Huge Fans of all your movies and now your music. You bring some of your personality to every part you play. You are the modern version of Gary Copper, James Stewart and all the good ole time actors. You have such a good personality. We love you. Hope we can see you again. We also had the pleasure of meeting Matt Barr (Jonesie Hatfield). He is super nice as well. Thank you so very much. We did make some memories that night!!!! Sue

I have met many celebrities in my life, but never so many extremely talented people in one band. I was one of the blessed ones that got to see Kevin and MW in the tnen at Thr Texas State Fair. What a WOW!
I have to say Tha Kevin Costner is one of the kindest, real, generous, sweet and of course talented people I have ever known. Thank you Kevin.

Thank you, dashing Mr. Costner, to your lovely daughter, and to the entire band for your incredible graciousness in sharing your musical talent with us during the “big rain-out” at the Texas State Fair. My friend and I were THRILLED to get to hear and see you (and especially blessed by Mr. Costner’s kind gesture to take a picture with us for an incredible treat for our birthdays!) I’ve always been a fan and I know that I always will be.
One more thing–I have to try for my teacher friends!…
If you would ever consider doing a “gig” as a gift to a school district full of hard-working, selfless, music-loving teachers to acknowledge their tireless and important work, we have a gorgeous new performing arts center and we couldn’t think of a more energizing gift than your music! We love y’all!
